The research was conducted at Kuru, Jos, Nigeria in 2017 - 2018. The treatments include 2 planting dates (2nd week of April, 2nd week of May); 2 varieties (daimat variety, local variety and 4 irrigation rates (no irrigation (control), 200m3, 400m3 and 600m3). Results showed that soil of the area was low in nutrient status, sandy loam in texture and generally classified as utisols. Early planting, (2nd week of April) yielded better. Also, interaction effect of planting in April x variety daimat x si 400m3 gave higher yield of potato relative to other interactions.

The author was born in 1969, Fwangkwak Mangu Plateau State, Nigeria. Holds certificates as follows: FSLC in 1982 at LGED Primary School Fwangkwak and GCE 0 - level at Nakam Memorial Secondary School Panyam. Obtained the 1st degree in 1996, the 2nd degree in 2005 and 3rd degree in 2019 all from University of Agriculture Makurdi.
