HANG (JOANNA) ZOU is a lecturer (Minyuan Chenhui Scholar) in the School of Foreign Languages, East China Normal University, China, where she received her PhD degree. Her research interests include academic discourse analysis and systemic functional linguistics. Dr Zoüs recent publications have appeared in Journal of English for Academic Purposes, English for Specific Purposes, Journal of Pragmatics and Discourse Studies.
