The final units are dedicated to exploring challenges confronting the United States as a global power, global communication theory, and specific training and consulting for global communicative capabilities. Featuring the writing of authors from many diverse disciplines, nations, and cultures, Intercultural Communication cultivates global citizenship and improves professional communication skills. The anthology is suitable for use in both undergraduate and graduate level classes in intercultural and global communication, international and global business, and international and global studies. Wenshan Jia (Ph.D., University of Massachusetts Amherst) is professor of intercultural and global communication at Chapman University and serves on the board of directors of the International Academy for Intercultural Research. He is a standing council member of All China Association for Intercultural Communication and a distinguished adjunct professor and Ph.D. adviser in the School of Journalism and Communication at Renmin University of China. He is the recipient of both the Wang-Fradkin Professorship for 2005-2007, the highest award given by Chapman University for faculty research, and the Early Career Award from the International Academy for Intercultural Research. He served on the National Communication Association's Task Force of Internationalization and has a publication record of 10 books and 60 research articles and book chapters.
