The aim of modern English language teaching is to enhance intercultural communicative competence of learners as English is a lingua franca. Therefore, especially learners who come into contact with non-native speakers of English generally need to learn how to adapt themselves to intercultural environments. Erasmus candidates are among those learners who are in need of intercultural skills essential to communicate effectively with people of various cultures. This book, as a result, provides activities to develop the ICC of Erasmus candidates in order to prepare them for a multicultural environment, however, those activities can also be used in different learning environments with various levels of learners as there are suggestions on how to adapt the activities to various levels of learners. The book is also designed around a research study with the target group and includes the findings of this research which assisted the author in the design of the activities. The book is especially useful to the professionals and teachers working at universities and can also be used by other language teachers who are interested in developing learners' intercultural communicative competence.
