This research work analyzes the practices of socialization and resignification of curricular contents in elementary school students of the community that "recognizes" itself as AVA GUARANÍ, located in the Department of Santa Bárbara in the Province of Jujuy. The subject addresses the problem of the construction of social and cultural meanings and ethnicity understood as a social category and as part of a historical process of formation of local ethnicities; it considers the place of school institutional frameworks and their actors in the maintenance of certain representations, from the indigenous and their possible treatments in terms of pedagogical practices. It is an ethnographic study, framed within the qualitative perspectives of social research in general and the contributions of the anthropological field in particular. From the methodological point of view, different and varied tools were applied for the construction of ethnographic data, such as in-depth interviews, participant observation, informal conversations, analysis of institutional and journalistic documentation, among others, to obtain data.
