The paper presents the results of the investigation of the undergraduate student's Internet usage for academic purpose of the University of Limpopo, Turfloop Campus (UL-TC). The key aim of the study was to investigate why students rely more on the Internet to access information for academic purposes and the constraints students face when using the Internet at the UL-TC. Quantitative approach was used in the study. Convenience sampling has been used to collect data through questionnaire which was distributed to a sample of 70 3rd level Information Studies students' from UL-TC. The results of the study were analysed using Microsoft excel and were presented in a form of tables and pie charts. The results of the study shows that students spend most of their time accessing the Internet and that majority of students frequently use the Internet for academic purposes.
