The publication “INTERIM – Un tunnel transatlantique“ is the finalisation of an artist exchange and exhibition project between ten female and male artists from Montréal and Leipzig (Germany) in 2012 and 2013. The book traces the discussion that took place around the content of this project and traces as well the difficulties encountered and the advantages of the exchange experienced by all those involved. Using the metaphor of the ‘transatlantic tunnel’, ten artists reflect the issues of building bridges between unknown cultures, art scenes, perspectives of life and translation problems in their works, which were presented to the public in Montréal (2012) and in Leipzig (2013). The book provides a contextualization by various authors of the project themes and documents the exhibitions in both cities. In this way it provides an insight into a project which looks from an art perspective at the highly topical themes of globalization and the connection of cultures and languages while questioning at the same time the role of new communication technologies and their influence on human lives. La publication “INTERIM – Un tunnel transatlantique” est la finilisation de l’échange d’artistes et du projet d’exposition avec dix artistes de Montréal et de Leipzig (Allemagne) de 2012-2013. Le livre poursuit le débat du contenu et les éxperiences sur les difficultés et les défis du projet. Sous la métaphore du ‘tunnel transatlantique’, dix artistes reflètent dans ses travaux sur les aspectes de construire des ponts entre les cultures inconnues, des scenes d’art, des perspectives de vie et de problémes de traduction, qui ont été présentés dans Montréal (2012) et á Leipzig (2013). Le livre donne un classification associative des themes du projet par les auteurs différents et documente les expositions dans les deux villes. Ainsi le livre done un apercu dans un projet qui regarde de la perspective de l´art les sujets très importante de la mondialisation et le lien des cultures et langues. Et qui demande avec cela aussi le role des nouveaux médias de communication et leur influence sur la vie humaine.Die Publikation "INTERIM - Un tunnel transatlantique" bildet den Abschluss des Künstleraustausch- und Ausstellungsprojektes zwischen zehn Künstler_innen aus Montréal und Leipzig in den Jahren 2012 und 2013. Das Buch zeichnet die Diskussion über die Themen der Ausstellung nach und greift die vielschichtigen Erfahrungen des langjährigen, internationalen Kunstprojektes auf. Unter der Metapher des „transatlantischen Tunnels“, reflektieren die zehn Künstler_innen in ihren Werken die Aspekte des Vernetzens zwischen verschiedenen Kulturen, Kunstszenen, Lebensperspektiven und Übersetzungsproblemen, die in Ausstellungen in Montréal (2012) und in Leipzig (2013) präsentiert wurden. Die Publikation bietet eine Kontextualisierung der in den Kunstwerken verhandelten Themen durch mehrere Autoren_innen und dokumentiert die Ausstellungen in beiden Städten. Sie ermöglicht Einblicke in ein Projekt, das aus der Perspektive der Kunst Fragen zur Globalisierung, zur Verbindung von Kulturen und Sprachen formulierte, sowie die Rolle der neuen Kommunikationstechnologien und deren Einfluss auf das menschliche Leben befragte.
