This book deals with the teaching of interior design in the Architecture and Urbanism course at Mackenzie Presbyterian University. Since most architects and planners have been working in this field, often calling themselves "interior designers", it aims to present a discussion on the possibilities and limitations of academic training in the course of Architecture and Urbanism. Methodologically, this work is the result of a literature review and a critical analysis of the pedagogical projects and the matrices of the courses of architecture and urbanism at Mackenzie Presbyterian University/SP. It is expected to contribute with a study that highlights the panorama of the formation of interior designers from schools of Architecture and Urbanism, taking into account the demands of contemporary society.
