Produktbeschreibung
Interior design for children presents particular challenges, whether it be to encourage relaxation, concentration or play. A number of existing books offer inspiration for DIY enthusiasts wanting to cater for their children's needs, but none so far has examined the wider picture - looking beyond the home to public spaces that are innovatively designed with infants in mind.
Part of the recently launched Interior Angles series, this book is about architecture especially designed for children aged 0-5. It looks at how the very young experience interiors, whether they be domestic, such as bedrooms and play-spaces; public, such as schools and nurseries; or for the purposes of pleasure, such as museums, theatres, and increasingly, retail spaces, restaurants and hotels. Crammed with stunning imagery and accessible texts, and aimed at the style conscious interiors fan, this looks at the very ways in which childhood itself is being designed.
* Examines all the latest trends in children's interior design, providing the first overview of an area which is becoming increasingly popular
* Includes lavish photography, full colour throughout - over 300 images
* Extended captions and accessible introductory texts highlight the key qualities of each design
* Includes a directory of useful information on the designers concerned, as well as locations and contact details of featured projects where appropriate
