This book aims at introducing the English as a foreign language researcher, in particular, to the area of the noun phrase. The book examines the interlanguage syntax of the closed system elements that occur before and/or after the noun head. It demonstrates that a great deal of students' errors could be explained by over-generalization and interference from students' mother tongue, though some other errors challenge explanations offered by contrastive analysis of English and Arabic.
