However, like many of my friends I sought a better life beyond the borders of the so-called German Democratic Republic. As a well-known Czech writer, who also left his country, once remarked that any authoritarian regime has a comical side to it, which here the reader may find in A missing Page, Between the Sectors, and in Cinema Tickets, which are true stories to the spoken word. In others a literary licence was employed.
