This book is based on a comparative analysis of public and private schools on the premises that every child deserves an excellent education regardless of his or her parental background and irrespective of the school he or she attends. The study identified adequate physical and material resources, quality of principals and discipline process as the best predictors of internal efficiency of schools.Other important efficiency variables were quality teachers, supervision, parental involvement and academic learning time.
