This book - International Business- Explorative Learning through Cases and Multiple Choice Questions- is an attempt by the author to explain the concepts of International Business through case studies and multiple choice questions (MCQs). Cases are taken from newspaper reports, magazines, research reports and various online sources. Cases are selected carefully so that they closely relate with the concepts relevant to each section.Bloom's (1956) taxonomy of educational objectives, provides a seminal perspective on student learning, continues to be useful to professors in higher education as they plan learning experiences for their students. The six basic categorical levels of educational objectives of this taxonomy are: knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation. The analysis of well-written comprehensive cases can help students to achieve each of these objectives. Case studies can also help the students to apply their learned concepts on real situations. Research studies have also established that well-written multiple choice questions can provide a broader coverage of course content. It is possible to test students' higher-order thinking, such as application, analysis and synthesis by using well structured MCQs.In this book 80 cases and 192 MCQs are used to explain various concepts of international business. It is the author's endeavour to encourage students pursuing post graduate level studies in various Indian and other universities to adapt explorative learning so that they are fully equipped to apply the theoretical concepts in real practical situations.
