In March 2023, at the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, the key tasks of socio-economic development for the current year were named. First, to ensure sustainable operation of the real sector of the economy so that export growth becomes another crucial goal for the open economy of Belarus. And the key sectors of the Belarusian economy are already adapting to the current conditions. For example, it is planned to sell 1,300 buses, 26.5 thousand cars, 24 million square meters of ceramic tiles, 313 thousand tons of cheese and cottage cheese on foreign markets. Secondly, to continue the active investment policy of the state, so that each Belarusian district could independently develop and submit a project for implementation in its territory. As a result, a list of 129 investment projects has been formed on the principle of "one district - one project". Its total cost is about four and a half billion Belarusian rubles, the volume of investments for 2023 - more than one billion rubles. In addition, more than fifty import-substituting projects are planned to be implemented. What steps are being taken in Belarus in the export and investment directions? This is the subject of this proposed study.
