This book contributes to a better comprehension of the influence of cultural factors, especially that of Hofstede's cultural dimensions; and offers a more comprehensive understanding of cultural fit between foreign and local partners. In our survey, significant management barriers are still having a great impact on business activities in China. These barriers stem form Chinese culture and traditional management practices. This book also provides new insights by examining the relationship among the performance measurements including subjective and objective methods, different approaches, and different parties' viewpoints in international joint ventures, and the impact of national culture in China. Finally, the author provides some insightful suggestions for researchers and managers.

Dr. Lung-Tan Lu (Ph.D. in International Business, University of Leeds, UK) ist außerordentlicher Professor für Management an der Fo Guang University, Taiwan. Er hat drei Bücher in englischer Sprache und 40 begutachtete Artikel in internationalen Fachzeitschriften veröffentlicht. Zu seinen Forschungsgebieten gehören humanistischer Buddhismus, EU-Wettbewerbsrecht und kulturübergreifendes Management.
