This is a textbook in Monetary Economics. It covers, with an African 'flavour', topics like international money and finance, international payments mechanisms in retrospect, balance of payments policies, poverty programming and anti-poverty policies, the debt problem, money and economic growth, and development finance sources (foreign aid, remittances, foreign direct investment, and existing and new innovative sources of development finance). Development finance is a unique feature in a book of this type.
