Such wars were the only way to solve international problems. With the gradual consolidation of slavery, the need arose for diplomatic relations between states. The great rulers of the Ancient East began to pay special attention to resolving certain mutual issues through diplomacy. Marriage diplomacy has taken its place ininternational relations. But the wars of conquest remained the main tool in the search for solutions to international problems in the ancient Eastern world.
