Produktbeschreibung
As the geographical boundaries of the firm expand,
complex organizations emerge which need greater
information-processing capacity. The dissertation
examines that dynamic process and its information
needs. Since internationalization proceeds step-by-
step, its success depends on the ability of the firm
to gather the necessary information during the
process and to effectively utilize that information.
Therefore, information-processing plays a crucial
role in the internationalization process. However,
this role not only increases as the firm further
internationalizes, but the ways and means of
accessing information and the quality and quantity
of information-processing changes during this
process. In this dissertation internationalization
is operationalized by examining the different stages
in that process (products, operations and markets).
Information-processing capacity is operationalized
by examining the useof information and
communications technologies (ICTs).
