Internationalization process is a reality for an increasing number of companies worldwide, either to mature or emerging markets. In any country and/or region, the difference between the national country to where the company is moving and the company itself can be extremely disruptive or profitable. Even between Western European countries, the so-called Southern countries like Portugal, Spain or Italy can have major differences to central and Northern European countries such as Germany or the Netherlands. The expectancy of employees, what is considered acceptable and the norm vary from country to country and the companies better understand that: the acceptance of hierarchical differences, masculinism vs. feminism, individuality vs. colectivism are subjects present in people's behavior and will afect it in the work place. When moving to other regions such as the Asia-Pacific, language diversity adds in a greater extent to the issue. In many cases, negotiating in other language is not even considered, or the creation of positions of power within the company, due to linguistic flexibility is an undisputable reality. All these issues have to be considered for companies going global.
