The fast-developing internet makes illegal access to digital content much easier through mechanisms such as peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing, which has allowed copyright infringement to become more a problem that we need to deal with immediately. In the United Kingdom, piracy caused tremendous financial lost, estimate around Pds. 180 million every year in the musical industry. The optimal method for achieving a fair usage of the P2P is the introduction and global implementation of a reasonable and unobtrusive system of remuneration. New technologies like the P2P is responsible for bringing to our life a new easy way to download from our convenience what we want, but at the same time, it raised a huge challenge in the existing copyright law. One of the new battlegrounds of dispute for copyright protection, and P2P sharing has become unavoidable. One of the possible solutions is to pursue subscribers/users who infringe copyright by illegal uploading and downloading, but it would beuneconomical, inefficient and unjust.
