Today, digital technologies play an important role in people's daily lives. Through these media, not only is access to various types of information and training made possible, but also new forms of communication are established. In this sense, older people have seen the need to get involved in these learning processes and to face the current world through contact with these new tools. This paper shows the main motivations that lead older adults to use social networks, as well as the significance that these media have in interpersonal relationships. Older adults from the province of San Luis, Argentina participated in the study.
