Lemur catta and Propithecus verreauxi live in direct sympatry in the Private Reserve of Berenty. This study focused on the cohabitation of these two species in the spiny part of the reserve, their feeding and social behaviors are analyzed to evaluate their interactions. By the method of "scan animal sampling", and Ad Libitum, 2 groups of Propithecus verreauxi and 2 groups of Lemur catta whose home ranges overlap were monitored from 18 September to 14 October 2019. The results showed that the two species show a significant difference in the food consumed, inter-group and inter-specific confrontations are not related to feeding activities. In conclusion, the two species are not in competition, but it is recommended that annual and season-long follow-ups be conducted to learn more about this sympatry. The notions on the interaction between living beings taught in the second grade are reflected in this study, this work is a support for any teacher who wants to invest in the investigation approach.
