What is desire? What is connection? What is intimacy, and how do we find it? The screen of film and TV is a mirror that reflects the human condition back at us, and for decades pioneering intimacy co-ordinator Ita O'Brien has been responsible for trying to make the stories of sex, love and desire on-screen reflect the authentic realities of our lives in pioneering productions from Normal People to I May Destroy You. In doing so, she has spent her life exploring the fundamental questions of human relationships. What are our bodies telling us about lust and love? What does good sex feel like? And how do we connect with our own bodies in order to better connect with others? In Intimacy, she shares everything she has learned about making genuine connections with ourselves and the people in our lives, offering a new field guide for love, sex, partnership and self-realisation.
