The present research consisted of creating indices that measure the severity of intimate partner violence (ISVPCU) and normalization of violence, machismo and stereotypes (INVMECU) in married or unmarried women. The source was the 2019 ENVIGMU. The indices were validated based on Cronbach's alpha and content validation. For the construction of the indexes, a factorial analysis with Varimax rotation was performed for the ISVPCU, the factors of violence were obtained: patrimonial, physical, sexual, psychological and for the INVMECU the factors: normalization of violence, machismo and stereotypes. The construction of the indexes was complemented with expert judgment, and it was determined that 30.41% of married or unmarried women have suffered any type of violence by their partner, regardless of its severity. In addition, 89.97% normalize violence, machismo and stereotypes, regardless of the level of the index. Also, when comparing both indexes, it was determined that as the ISVPCU increases, the INVMECU increases. The index scales proved to be reliable and useful in measurement.
