INTO FRAGILE SILVERS is a unique collection of poetry spanning over two decades. Each work represents a picture of life, as seen through the eyes of Brian Young, who has been writing poetry, essays and short stories since the early 1980's. Brian's unique writing style has developed and grown significantly over the years, as well as his unique perspectives of life, love, loss, hope, betrayal, family, friendship and personal growth. With words, elaborate images take shape and atmospheres are created through his moods and feelings. This collection is one man's journey through adolecent youth to adulthood, uncovering all of the small spaces in between. BRIAN YOUNG has been writing poetry and short stories since a young age in the early 1980's. Brian's other creative endeavours include musical production, graphic design, web design and photography. Brian was born and raised in Colorado and lived in Portland, Oregon until the time of his death, July 17, 2018.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Brian Young has provided youth instruction for decades in areas of religion, music, math, chess, scouting, sports, and life skills. He currently is in his tenth year teaching Catholic Confirmation students and plans to start a youth ministry. Other joys (with wife, Anne) include sponsoring foreign students' education through Unbound.org; donating to Tunnels to Towers Foundation, which supports veterans and emergency first-responders; and donating to Brothers of Charity, Inc., which has a home for adults with intellectual disabilities in Philadelphia, PA. His earlier interests included bicycling, hiking the Appalachian Trail, producing Gong Shows to benefit the homeless, tutoring math students to benefit food banks, and playing euphonium for the Salvation Army.Young is a retired software engineer (his most proficient computer language: profanity - which triggered frequent trips to the confessional). He now plans to spend years engaging and encouraging world youth and the young-at-heart to live out their Catholic faith on the revealed 8 Streets to Christ.
