Taken together, the value of the average annual Exports of the countries of Africa is $500.3billion; $71.7billion of which are Exports to other countries in Africa. Taken together, the value of the average annual Imports of the countries of Africa is $525.2billion; $72.8billion of which are Imports from other countries in Africa. This book discusses the structure of the merchandise (the constituents of the merchandise) involved in the trade between the countries of Africa; provides an extensive account of the value of the Exports from, and Imports to, each country and important economic integrations, on the continent; and the destination and origin on the continent, of those Exports and Imports; and how trade can produce economic development in the individual countries of Africa.
