Conflict and the resolution of conflicts are fundamental to the cardinal principles of democracy and democratic consolidation and political parties being a vital institution of democracy and democratic sustainability is the repository of conflicts as well as the mechanism or methodology of resolving same. Democracy has become the global norm for societal growth and development because it requires comprehensive electorate participation and leadership accountability. Fundamentally, there are several basic platforms that would promote the actual operation of democracy in a given state, and political parties are the most important in this process. However, in attaining democratic standard, political party needs to possess the quality and characteristics of intraparty democracy, which is at variance with intraparty conflict. This study therefore, unveils Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) as a global striving procedure of quick justice delivery system that its final outcomes or rulings always end in a win/win for both parties with a flexible approach and tendency for a continuous harmonious relationship. Unlike litigation process with a winner and loser as its final outcome.
