The strong relationship between articular and muscular disorders makes accurate diagnosis difficult. Substantial improvements have been made in our diagnostic and imaging capabilities, and some treatment advances have been helpful in the long-term management of these common disorders. The general radiologist is frequently challenged to manage the diagnostic pathway and to provide a good basis for planning the proper therapeutic strategy.
