Mild head trauma was one of the most frequent causes of access to an Emergency Room. The book outlines a study from the real life of an Emergency Department outlining the most serious complications that can occur in the event of this type of trauma. Intracranial hemorrhage rates, the need for operating room and hospitalization are analysed. However, it also focuses on the management of these patients in the emergency room. A comparison is carried out between a cohorte of patients on direct oral therapyAnticoagulant Drugs and a cohort on therapy with Vitamin K Antagonists. Both are then compared with a large cohorte of patients without any anticoagulant or anti-aggregating therapy. The book shows management cues for mild head trauma in an Emergency Department and at the same time shows a higher safety profile of some anticoagulant drugs than others in the case of mild head trauma.
