The aim of the study was to promulgate a suitable and safe intranasal anaesthetic regimen and their subsequent evaluation and comparison on the basis of clinico-physiological, haematobiochemical effects of intranasal benzodiazepines (Midazolam and diazepam) and 2-agonist (Xylazine) in surgical management of domesticated fowls. All the intranasally administered drugs could provide a safe, effective, fast, adequate, acceptable, non-invasive, reliable sedation in domesticated fowls for diagnostic and minor therapeutic procedures, without any complications, special technical skills, and expensive-cum-cumbersome anaesthetic equipments.
