This dissertation deals with the introduction to an economy of religion in the DRC which is the study of the relationship between religion and economic development in the DRC.This subject is prompted by three approaches: a conceptual approach relating the link between religion and economic development, a theoretical approach noting the various advances in the field and an analytical approach demonstrating a real need for the economic study of religion through a macro and micro economics of religion and its externalities.Religion here is taken as a lever and incentive for people to a better cause and an advancement rallying the interests of all. The historical, sociological and empirical analyses invoked in our project demonstrate that in general there is a correlation between religion and the economic development of a nation. The cultural and religious points of view attest that religion and family constitute two inseparable elements of the socio-cultural identity of a people. Religion is a value that can influence consumer choice.
