These days, although we are living in the 21st century we are still facing challenges particularly in relation to Biodiversity conservation; and health & food security issues. Even the so-called Western Sciences alone could not bring the desirable and most expected progress in these areas. Thus, mainstreaming the use of traditional knowledge in relation to the use of plants (Ethnobotany), animals (Ethnozoology) and resource management & conservation (Ethnoecology) in the academic institutions would contribute a lot to bring desirable changes on the aforementioned issues.
