This manuscript is an introductory course on Human growth and development. It attempts to lead students to an understanding of the concepts and processes of human growth and development. Hence, it explores developmental changes during prenatal and post-natal stages with special emphasis on the social, physical, intellectual, emotional, and moral levels of human development. The manuscript exposes students to the processes of development from fertilization till old age. It is hoped that this book will help students to grasp the concepts and demonstrate an understanding of the processes of human growth and development through the entire life span. Theories of human growth and development have been incorporated to provide for clearer understanding and application.
