Microbiology is like sand, blowing away with time. I have made an attempt to arrange diverse areas of microbiology in a simple manner. I do not intend to write an advanced treatise on microorganisms. Rather, i have concentrated on basic concepts of microbiology. There are 20 Chapters are included and by reading this text, i hope the readers, beside basic concepts, will also gain an overview of the current status of many diverse and interesting aspects of modern microbiology.

Este é G. Venkatesh concluiu a B.Sc. & M.Sc. Microbiologia de primeira classe da Universidade de Sri Venkateswara. Após a conclusão do M.Sc., juntei-me como Assistente de Projecto no Instituto Nacional de Nutrição e Fisiologia Animal (ICAR-NIANP) por um período de três meses, trabalhando actualmente como Assistente de Ensino na Universidade Horticultural Dr.YSR.
