Psychology is a rich and multifaceted discipline that seeks to unravel the complexities of the human mind and behavior. This book serves as a gateway into the fascinating world of psychology, providing an overview of its key concepts, theories and applications. The book overall approach, refined by the author's experience with large sections of undergraduates, addresses the challenges of teaching and learning when prerequisite knowledge varies greatly from student to student. The book is composed of eight chapters, introduction to psychology, biological bases of behavior, sensation and perception, motivation, emotion, learning and memory, intelligence and personality. The author had three main goals when writing this text, to write a text that students can easily comprehend, to make connections between what students are learning and how they may apply that knowledge and to give flexibility to instructors to tailor a course to the needs of their students. I am hopeful that this book fulfils all those mottos. My book is a sincere attempt for this endeavor; however positive suggestions are always welcome.
