A simple style has been adopted as much as possible in the presentation of materials in this book in realization that most users are not sociology students and may not possibly have other exposure to the subject after this. Without being overbearingly complicated the bookhas tried to cover most of the topics of interest on introductory rural sociology with nearly all applications to the Nigerian rural society.

Musa Dantani Baba joined the Department of Agricultural Extension and Management, Kebbi State College of Agriculture, Zuru, in 2006. He obtained a Master of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics in 2014. He is a member of the American Association for Science and Technology (AASCIT) and African Association of Agricultural Economist (AAAE).
