This book is organized and complied to introduce students of Geography and Environmental Sciences on how to carry out simple research work in regards to any study on water quality, as well as organization and presentation of their findings. It will also guide students and scholars in other fields who are interested in preserving water quality for sustainability of our natural environment. Chapter one focuses on the general aspect of the study, where issues on water quality were raised giving a good background to the study. Operational terms were also addressed in this chapter. Chapter two introduces students to some of the features they need to address in regards to the study area. These elements advertently or inadvertently influence the water quality in an area. Some of the variables that needed to be tested on the spot, and those to be carried out in the laboratory were discussed in chapter three, as well as the methodology adopted. Chapter four dealt with some of the analytical techniques for hypotheses testing based on the aim and objectives of the study. Discussion of major findings was also carried out in this chapter.
