This work is entitled "Inventory of macro-invertebrates in the Virunga volcanic region: Case of the Mubambiro and Kihira rivers in North Kivu, DR Congo". To better assess the biodiversity of these rivers, the present study has set as objectives to contribute to the sustainable management of aquatic ecosystems in the Virunga Volcanic Region in general and particularly in these rivers. The physico-chemical parameters and sampling of biological diversity including macro-invertebrates during the period October 2019 to March 2020 were carried out. The results showed a total of 407 (100%) individuals collected of macro-invertebrates among which there are 10 orders, 17 families and finally 23 types of different species. The physico-chemical parameters collected showed a variation according to the rivers and sites. An anthropic, environmental, ecological footprint, was noticed in the two(2) ecosystems studied of which the Kihira head of poster with its specific richness in very low biodiversity and its quantity of dissolved oxygen high compared to the Mubambiro.
