The goal of this study was to document the reported experiences and attitudes of the principals and teachers in six urban primary schools in Samoa after almost a year of implementing the reformed Samoan Primary School Curriculum. The reformed curriculum was adopted by the schools in January 2013. Ten months into the implementation of the new curriculum, in October 2013, data for this study were collected from six urban primary schools through in-depth face-to-face focus group interviews with 29 teachers as well as one-on-one face-to-face interviews with the six principals of these primary schools.
