Positive oral feedback is an interactional process between the teacher and the learners in the classroom. Its goal is to inform students about their learning so that they improve their future performances or to facilitate learning by reducing classroom tension and anxiety. This study aimed at investigating the attitudes and perceptions of second-year EFL students to teacher oral positive feedback. The reason behind conducting the study is to identify students¿ preferences of teacher feedback and thus, to recommend teachers to use the feedback learners favor to facilitate teaching and learning. The findings of the study reported that second-year students show positive attitudes to all kinds of positive feedback, however, they did not like positive evaluative feedback because it is not informative. The study provided implications for EFL teachers that can develop teaching and learning. It suggested that EFL teachers should provide informative feedback such as descriptive feedback. In addition, they should offer encouragement in the classroom through affective feedback. It is advisable for teachers also to avoid non-informative feedback like positive evaluative feedback.
