Nevertheless, elderly individuals frequently encounter obstacles and hardships that impact their overall welfare and standard of living. Senior citizens may face various adverse situations, including:1. Prejudice and bias based on age. Elderly individuals may encounter societal discrimination and unfavorable attitudes, including being stigmatized as feeble, reliant, and disconnected. These circumstances can result in diminished self-worth, seclusion from social interactions, and the onset of depressive symptoms.2. Solitude and lack of social interaction.
