Leif D. Deyrup lehrt derzeit Vollzeit an der University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky. Er erwarb 2001 seinen B.S. an der Stetson University und 2005 seinen Doktortitel an der University of Georgia. Er setzt diese erstaunlichen Wespen immer noch ein, um Fragen des Verhaltens, der Evolution und der Ökologie zu erforschen.
