The neuromuscular junction is a structure that allows the nerve cells to communicate with the muscles. A deeper knowledge into the formation of this structure will enhance our understanding of the brain and muscular dystrophies. In this work, the role of two proteins in the formation of postsynaptic differentiation is studied. Paxillin is a scaffolding protein involved in the formation of focal adhesions, and MAPK14 is a kinase that regulates muscle cell differentiation among other pathways.
