This book is the result of a study that sought to investigate the perception of the elderly in relation to the themes of the body in aging. The research took place in two stages. The first was the search for conceptualizations and theoretical references that could provide support for theorizing, and the second was field research in which interviews were carried out with 21 subjects. The themes dealt with here took into account approaches to the meanings and subjectivity of themes associated with gerontology and its anthropological dimension.
