This study focuses on the role of the school in the promotion and enhancement of Benin's cultural heritage. Indeed, students constitute a primordial layer through which the cultural heritage could be transmitted, shared, valued and promoted. We have noted that the proposals or recommendations made by the State to give better visibility to Benin's cultural heritage, although commendable, do not take into account the awareness of young students on the usefulness of protecting, promoting and enhancing their cultural heritage. Beninese school programs do not address the notion of the country's cultural heritage. This being the case, young students show very little interest in it. Faced with this observation, we have decided in this book to address the education of schoolchildren in cultural heritage by proposing strategic pedagogical activities. This book could serve as a guide for teachers to address cultural heritage in schools. Cultural professionals and politicians can use this document as inspiration to initiate cultural education projects for young people.
