Ionu Popa (born 17 April 1953 in S vâr in) is a Romanian football coach and former player. Since October 2010 he has been manager of Liga II club CS Mioveni. He was the coach of Liga I team FC Politehnica Iasi from 2004, when they promoted, until January 2009, being the longest serving coach in Liga I up to date. The reason he quit the job was lack of funds. The post was taken by Cristiano Bergodi.
