As technology continues to advance, the agricultural industry has recognized the need to develop new methods to improve crop yield due to the significant influence of environmental factors on farming. Traditional irrigation methods have had significant drawbacks, such as calculation errors and low sensitivity from input sensors. To address these limitations, smart irrigation systems have been developed using sequential learning neural network algorithms and the Internet of Things (IoT). An intelligent irrigation system is a way to deal with all of the issues in a conventional approach. This method regulates the water by sensing the soil quality and moisture and providing adequate moisture needed using motor pumps. The IoT technique here transfers the data to a network with little human communication. Due to the usage of IoT technology in the field, the workload and management have become easier. For instance, with the use of sensors, one can easily detect the temperature, humidity, and quality of the soil. It also helps in automating the process of irrigation based on the soil condition.
