The present study was an attempt to examine the Iranian EFL learners' use of listening strategies in different contexts including authentic, informal and formal. for this purpose, 141 Iranian intermediate level learners took part in the experiments. the participants were all female learners and were homogenized in terms of their level of proficiency based on the TOEFL. A questionnaire was used to evaluate the learners' use of listening strategies in the contexts.
