"The wealth of a nation is its working people"- so goes the saying. Work brings wealth. We spend an average of 25% of our lives at work, so it's important to make the best out of it. Working was never an easy task, since; the workplace is dynamic in nature and complex in its function. Dynamic because it involves people who are motivated emotionally. Complex because people may differ emotionally giving an opportunity for a conflict. Organizations are complex social systems that sometimes perform remarkably well and sometimes fail miserably (Jex 2002). The diversity in work makes an organization complex, in which the people who work together differ from each other on all sorts of dimensions. Diversity in work place has a positive effect as every opinion of the workers contributes to the innovations and creativity. Diversity can create stress and conflict and can make everyone- those who are privileged as well as those who are less privileged - anxious and upset (Crosby, Stockdale 2004). Work place is characterized by demands, interpersonal communications, and work pressures that may lead to detriment of health and personal life. The ever-increasing demands of workloads and deadlines, with massive technological change, with internationalization of work and the changing nature of the family (i.e., two-earner couples), make the workplace itself a health issue (Cooper, Schabracq, Winnubst 2003). The organizations in which people work affect their thoughts, feelings, and actions in the workplace and away from it (Brief, Weiss 2002). Working conditions, working environments and other organizational life, produce work-related stress that influences the health of the worker. Their stress is reflected in physical symptoms,
