El autor, el Rev. Dr. Barnabas Sama'ila Shabayang, es un sacerdote católico ordenado en 1992, en la Diócesis de Kano, Nigeria. Estudió en el Seminario Mayor de San Agustín, Jos, en el Instituto Católico de África Occidental (CIWA), Port Harcourt, y en la Universidad Pontificia de Santo Tomás de Aquino, en Roma. En la actualidad, es Catedrático de Teología de la Universidad Veritas de Abuja.
